Course Description : Grade 11-12

 

Course Objective: In this course you will use the mathematical processes of problem solving, reasoning and proving, reflecting, connecting, representing, selecting tools and computational strategies and communicating to learn about.

• Make the Transition to Calculus Easier — Build mastery of functions, trigonometry, logarithms, graphs, and advanced algebra.

• Find Weaknesses Before Calculus Finds Them — Diagnose Algebra II and Trigonometry gaps before students enter Calculus.

• Develop Advanced Problem Solving — Students tackle multi-step problems requiring reasoning rather than formula memorization.

• Prepare for College-Level Mathematics — Build the mathematical maturity expected in Calculus and STEM programs.

• Create an AP/Advanced-Math Pathway — Strong students can prepare for AP Calculus and more demanding high-school mathematics.​

• 45 minutes per day, 2 days per week

• Applying the sine and cosine laws in acute triangles

• Connecting graphs and equations of exponential functions

• Solving problems involving exponential functions

• Solving financial problems involving exponential functions
