Course Description : Grade 9

 

Course Objective: The students will receive instruction in and demonstrate the ability to perform  mathematical functions and problem-solving in key areas of Algebra,Geometry,Trigonometry,Patterns and relationships,Data analysis and probability,linear,exponential and quadratic functions.

Geometry

• Understand, Don't Memorize — Students learn the reasoning behind geometric relationships instead of memorizing formulas alone.

• Develop Proof & Logic Skills — Strengthen deductive reasoning, multi-step thinking, and mathematical communication.

• Improve School Performance — Target difficult topics such as congruence, similarity, circles, coordinate geometry, area, and volume.

• Strengthen Algebra at the Same Time — We address algebra weaknesses that frequently cause problems in Geometry.

• Prepare for ACT® & SAT® ( Test Preparation Independent test preparation and tutoring for students.) & Advanced Math — Build geometry and analytical reasoning skills that carry into standardized tests and higher mathematics.

Algebra II

• Master Advanced Algebra Before Precalculus — Functions, quadratics, polynomials, rational expressions, exponentials, logarithms, and more.

• Identify Hidden Algebra Gaps — Students often struggle in Algebra II because of earlier weaknesses; we find and correct them.

• Develop Function & Graphing Skills — Students learn to connect equations, graphs, tables, and real-world relationships.

• Improve Problem-Solving Speed & Accuracy — Structured practice develops stronger mathematical fluency.

• Create the Bridge to Precalculus, Calculus & STEM — Algebra II becomes preparation for what comes next—not simply another course to pass.

• 45 minutes per day, 2 days per week

• Numbers-rational numbers,square roots and cube roots.

• Operations-add,subtract,multiply and divide rational numbers.

• Ratios,rate and proportions-word problems to solveproportions and scale drawings.

• Exponential functions-domain and range:graphs and equations.

• Expressions and properties,variables and equations,linear functions.

• Matrices-matrix vocabulary,add,subtractand multiply.

• Trigonometry-sin,cos and tan.

• Radical expressions-add,subtract,multiply and divide radical expressions.

• Geometric measurement-perimeter,area,volume,word problemsin pythagorean theorem.

• Probability-permutation and combination notations

• Factoring –factor out monomials and polynomials.

• Data and graphs-create bar and line graph,interpret stem and leaf plots

• Direct and inverse variations.

• Linear equations-slope-intercept form,point-slope form.

• Single variable inequalities,absolute value equations and inequalities.
